Welcome to New DVD Creations Frequently Asked Questions
How do I upload my digital pictures and video?
After your
payment is received and cleared our bank, you will be emailed with
complete and easy to understand set of instructions on how to use our
uploading service. Digital media can be some very large files or lots
of smaller files. To make this easy for our customers we have set up an
FTP site or we will email you a link to our upload page. It is easy to use and the instructions will be clear,
concise, and easy to implement. It won't cost you anything to do this
and it is simple to operate.
How do I pay for an order?
Just click the "Order Now!" link on the left side of any page to place an order or to get a quote. After
you place an order an email will be sent with an estimate or quote. In
this email there will be a Paypal link for you to pay with a credit
card or use your Paypal account. You do not need to be a member of
Paypal to use Paypal anymore. If you do not wish to use Paypal, you can
send a check or money order to the address listed in the email. No
orders will be worked on or completed until payment has been made.
After payment is made and it clears our bank, you will then be sent
another email with a pre-paid shipping label you can print from your
computer (if your project requires shipping photos or video to us). You
will also be given instructions on how to upload any digital photos or
video in the same email.
What is the difference in Duplication and Replication?
- Duplication: Commonly referred to as “burning,” this is the
process of copying the contents of one CD or DVD to another disc using
a drive with write capabilities. The PC or duplication equipment etches
the data onto a recordable CD or DVD disc with a laser small enough to
be integrated into a normal PC drive bay. CD and DVD burners and media
have been a runaway success due to their portability, convenience, and
economy. This method is best for producing limited quantities of
copies–more than one, but fewer than a large commercial run. For
quantities less than 1,000, many businesses “burn” their manuals, parts
lists, and training videos in-house using either PCs with multiple
burners or dedicated duplication machines (”duplication towers”).
- Replication:
This is a manufacturing process that essentially replicates or “clones”
the original master. First, a “glass master” is created from the
original. Then a set of molds, or “stampers,” are made from the master.
Stampers act as a blueprint for the replication process; they are
mounted into an injection-mold machine, where a replica of the mold is
created in the form of a 120-mm plastic disc. The formed disc is then
coated with a micro-thin reflective layer of aluminum. Finally, the
disc is coated with a protective lacquer that is first spun onto the
disc, then hardened by ultraviolet light.
Do DVD-R play on all home set
top DVD players?
No, they do not play on every home DVD player. They
do play on about 80 percent of all home DVD players
right now. As time passes, more and more of the new home
DVD players will play DVD-R. If you are buying a DVD
player always check to make sure that the one you want
does play DVD-R. All DVD-R will play on your PC with the
proper software installed (Windows Media Player, RealOne
Player, and many others).
Can I get a refund from you if
the DVD I purchased is not compatible with my DVD
player?
No, we can not be held responsible for that type of a
problem. If you have any doubt about your DVD player
being able to play our DVD's, order a free sample DVD from
us and you will know for sure if it is compatible.
